About The Morrell Room

About The Morrell Room

The Morrell Room is a beautiful wood panelled hall with a wooden floor. It was commissioned for the benefit of the villagers of Streatley in 1896 by Mr and Mrs George Morrell. The exterior remains largely as it was over a hundred years ago and great pains have been taken to preserve the character and atmosphere of the interior.

It is located in the beautiful village of Streatley, set in the Goring Gap, close to hills and the river Thames.

Facilities include Wifi, kitchen, ladies, gents and disabled toilets, cloakroom, 'green room', and overhead projector/screen. It is fully wheelchair accessible.

It is regularly used for classes and events, such as drama productions and children's parties.
Please note that current license arrangements preclude the use of amplified music after 6pm, which limits its suitability for evening parties.
